Communication & Digital Culture: WORKSHOP
CALL FOR PAPERS:
The Communication & Digital Culture Area of the Popular Culture Association is soliciting proposals for panels and individual papers that explore the theme of “workshop” in new media practices. A workshop could be a studio where goods are repaired; artists, writers, and performers “workshop” ideas; futurists share new code and concepts at workshops. How will you present your research as a workshop at our next PCA meeting? How can the participants at your workshop benefit your practice?
Possible topics include:
- Workshop as a participatory experience (limit to 15 minutes or 30 minutes for 2 presenters)
- Workshop as performance
- Work-shopping a work in progress
