Monday July 22nd through Friday, July 26th, 2013
Sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with group excursions available on Tuesday and Thursday, July 23rd and 25th.

Single Standard Room: 340 PLN ($84 US)

Conference Registration Fee: $300 US
The registration fee includes three lunches (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), a welcome reception on Monday evening, the conference dinner for the participant on Thursday evening, and one excursion.  Spouses or partners who want to participate in the conference social events (three lunches, welcome reception, conference dinner, and excursion) are welcome but must also pay the conference guest registration fee of $175.

The deadline for registration is April 30, 2013. Please send a check for your registration to Douglass A. Noverr, Conference Organizer and Coordinator, Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures, 434 Farm Lane, Room 235 Bessey Hall, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824.  You do not have to be a current member of the Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association in order to register for or to participate in the conference.  Cancellations with refunds of registration due to illness or other extenuating circumstances will, of course, be recognized.

Location of Conference: All sessions will be held in meeting rooms at the Warsaw Marriott Hotel.

Proposals for individual presentations or panels are invited for the International Popular Culture Association/ American Culture Association Conference scheduled for Warsaw, Poland, July 22-26, 2013.  Proposals with an international and global focus as well as presentations with a cross-cultural and comparative basis are especially welcomed.  The conference theme is “Contexts and Circumstances of the Popular Culture Experience” with a focus on the settings, particularities, and dynamics of the experiential qualities of popular culture.  All proposals will be considered, and proposals will be immediately vetted out for review with quick turnaround and acceptance.  Proposals should be 300 – 400 words in length, and the presentations should be timed for no more than 20-25 minutes in length.  Send proposals electronically to Douglass A.
